獨立遊戲開發商 CI Games 本月初於 Summer Game Fest 公開旗下黑暗奇幻類魂動作 RPG《墮落之王2》（Lords of the Fallen II）的新預告，不過原訂於今年秋季發售有了變卦，今（24）日宣布遊戲將改到 2027 年第一季發售。

官方於說明中提到了兩件事，第一是遊戲回饋團隊給予與了重要的回饋，因此需要更多時間來整合打磨。第二件事就是今年秋季市場上競爭異常激烈，因此他們認為延後發售可以讓遊戲獲得應有的關注。
官方同時也表示玩家對於近期發表的內容反應熱烈，因此團隊士氣高昂，將全力以赴打造這款作品。
由於 11 月的《俠盜獵車手6》已經開始預購，使的今年 11 月出現了幾乎「全員讓道」的現象，目前沒有強作願意在 11 月與《GTA6》正面競爭，導致都壓在 9 月推出，例如《鬼武者 Way of the Sword》、《聖火降魔錄 萬縷千絲》、《漫威金剛狼》、《控制：共振》、《沉默之丘：：Townfall》等，讓 9 月的發售表異常擁擠。
《墮落之王2》相信也感受到了這樣的狀況，因此決定繼續打磨遊戲，讓遊戲更完整。
