@arstechnica All matter distorts spacetime. Gravity is a function of matter - sufficient matter = sufficient gravity = more significant time dilation. When you look at the dawn on Earth, you're seeing an optical illusion created by gravitational lensing - the sun really hasn't yet risen but it's about to.
