@arstechnica What assurance do we have that Anthropic has a valid copyright on Claude code? If it was mostly generated by the previous version of Claude, it cannot be copyrighted in the US. The courts have recently confirmed that generated works cannot be copyrighted, because only humans can have copyrights.

@arstechnica Do they actually think it can be stopped?
Kinda reminds me of that Beyoncé's famous Conan the barbarian meme. You can *still* find it online. And it's been, I don't know, 10+ years?
