@arstechnica I think the real problem is that Bluesky is very vocal about their use of AI and are openly antagonistic towards a large portion of their user base, creating an environment where the users have no patience with the developers or the service. But sure... Let's just say the problem is laymen not understanding servers and data infrastructure.

@arstechnica I left blue sky and still I am on blue sky. Thanks to the AT protocol. I am using a European server now. The name is LeafPlaza.

With the help of their support we lifted my heavy account with about 30 GB of data over in about one night.

Now I am using blue sky from Europe.

The only contra aspect is for now that there is no web front end. But they are working on it and also on an iPad version …
