Of course age-gating is not "the" answer, but it is part of it. We know this fact from IRL.
The full answer includes real and enforced data privacy, proper regulation, more open source and ownership rights, removal of corp and foreign players from key infrastructure and (yes) age-gating for certain content.
Focusing on such a simplistic "age-gate bad" message only helps the techbros avoid any accountability at all.

@eff Could you not even admit that governments needed to act after children died from bullying and stalking that went on at Facebook et al?
