@arstechnica "The company claims that it does its own testing on its products and has found no E. coli. Further, the company said it hasn’t received any reports from customers or retailers of any illnesses.
Raw Farm has been associated with over a dozen other outbreaks and many recalls in the last 20 years, according to Bill Marler, a personal injury lawyer specializing in food poisoning outbreaks who has kept a record of the company’s outbreaks."
Seems their testing isn't so great.
@arstechnica The problem is not so much the raw milk as the poor food standards and lack of inspections. Even today, raw milk cheese is a staple of European cuisine. Yes, there are an abundance of as popular pasteurised alternatives on the market, but traditional raw milk cheese remains a thing in the EU, too.
That said, food standards and controls in the EU are extremely strict. So you can have safe raw milk cheese if you have stringent controls ... but that's socialism or whatever, I guess.
