First NBC News spotted the resemblance. Then they brought the Trump Phone to our San Luis Obispo office so we could get past the gold paint.
CT scans and a full teardown confirmed it: the T1 is nearly identical to the HTC U24 Pro. Same internals. Same layout. Same story, just with a louder outfit. Check out the full blog below and their teardown on YouTube!

What does that HTC cost by comparison to the t1, I wonder? Considerably less, I'm guessing, lol!

@iFixit I would say i feel bad for the people who got scammed with this thing.
But if you fall for a scam this obvious it's at least partly your fault, all politics aside.

I checked the specs for the HTC U24 Pro ("Trump Phone").
It isn't awful, but it IS 2 years old (released June 2024 and two Android versions behind.) Shorter battery life and half the speed of my 1 year old.Samsung S25+.
I don't know what the #GrifterInChief is asking for it, but the HTC T****'s phone is a clone of currently retails for just $470.
