@arstechnica Lucky tech companies. They can lose billions and get away with it. Meta lost $80 billion on its Metaverse adventure, and now OpenAI is reportedly losing a billion a year.
Meanwhile, if you’re a small business, you’d struggle to get a loan from the bank. And if you make a loss, the bank will make sure you pay it back.
The system really works well in that regard.
