@arstechnica Claude has not gained anything. Some person from Anthropic company run shitty software.
@arstechnica Would you ever publish a headline like, "A truck ran over a pedestrian"? No, you'd say, "The driver ran over a pedestrian." probably even if it was on cruise-control.
We need to be careful about attributing actions to AI. The AI doesn't have intent or moral agency. The people who run it do.
Of course it's a lot less catchy to say, "Misconfiguration in testing environment causes Anthropic to execute real-world hacks".
This article reads as criti-hype.
