@arstechnica if the Middle East stays in turmoil, SUV’s or anything requiring gas and oil might be to rich for anybody. The horse and buggy might be the future…
@arstechnica In the US, most electric cars have to be SUVs, because
1. Americans have range anxiety
2. High range requires big batteries
3. Big (heavy) batteries require big disc brakes to stop
4. Big disc brakes require big wheels to fit over discs
5. Big wheels usually means SUV
