Meta傳聚焦資源於AI，將裁員20%
報導引述二名消息來源人士指出，因應AI投資花費太大，公司主管接到指示要開始制訂裁員計畫以撙節開支。但是裁員幅度並未最後底定，計畫執行時程也未確定。
根據Meta的官方資料，截自2025年12月31日，公司員工數為78865人。如果報導成真，則有將近1.6萬人受到影響。
在執行長Mark Zuckerberg的領軍下，Meta過去一年大舉增加對AI投資。這家社群平臺龍頭2025年成立超級智慧實驗室（SuperIntelligence Labs）以開發基礎AI模型，並且大舉收購AI新創公司及招攬頂尖AI人才。例如去年Meta從蘋果挖角的AI開發主管龐若鳴，薪資成本傳為4年2億美元。Meta並先後收購AI代理人開發平臺Manus及社群平臺Moltbook，可望吸收其團隊以強化自主代理人的能力。
上一次Meta大裁員是為了削減疫情期間公司過度擴張的人員編制，分別在2022年11月及2023年裁減1.1萬及1.1萬人。期間有陸續規模大小不等的裁員，今年初亦裁減開發VR/AR的Reality Labs及Horizon超過千人。
