@arstechnica I've never understood the hate for this craft. Yes, it did not perform 100% perfectly on its first mission flight. But who expected it to? No me, nor I think anyone who's followed manned spaceflight. I thought it performed very well, given its development stage, and then and still have high hopes for it.

More good money after bad. The GAO even said it was too expensive to maintain. This is what we get with cost+ contracts.
