Some devices are actually designed to be fixed. These choices make repairs easier, more economical, and less wasteful. This shouldn’t be a feature. It should be the standard.
Which one is the most important to you?
Repairability
Repairability means making it possible—and ideally easy—to repair a product. A repairable product is designed with disassembly in mind.

Visual cues and tool-free disassembly aren’t necessary. They ARE very nice-to-haves, however. Being able to open a device with just a few screws is vitally important. I’d also like to see the world go back to removable batteries that install with a set of contacts vs some type of ribbon or other connector.
Edit: I should clarify, as a fully able person, that tool-free is nice to have but I’m aware that for some folks it would be a necessity.
@iFixit reversible fasteners, please.
