@arstechnica AI assisted coding has the potential to break IT. Firstly, it is questionable whether it is really cost-effective to leave the coding to AI and then invest in human code review. It's more likely, that human review will be cut back on or done away with - which will inevitably compromise security.

Additionally, AI is meant to replace entry-level IT jobs, which leads to the question where to get senior-level IT staff from, when they're not more IT entry-level jobs to gain experience?

@arstechnica and yet continue to work there? must be paid extremely well.

@arstechnica perhaps if they worked longer hours and maybe slept at the office they could do better.

And smile more.

@arstechnica who would have thought feeding your AI a loop of Russian propaganda and Nazi disinformation would result in a reliable product. Not to mention constantly tweaking it so it agrees with your fascist opinions. 🤷🏽‍♀️
