Since 2023, the Working Group has focused on identifying and addressing gaps that impact enterprise adoption of FreeBSD, with several key workstreams already completed.

This survey will help us understand general satisfaction levels among enterprise users of FreeBSD and guide the Enterprise Working Group's focus going forward. Summary status From 2023 to 2025, these 7 workstreams Graduated from the FreeBSD Enterprise Working Group (EWG). A workstream Graduates from the EWG when there is an ongoing home (maintainer or sub-project) inside the FreeBSD ecosystem that is dedicated to the effort. OCI runtime for FreeBSD bhyve management openJDK SBOM Zero Trust and Reproducible Builds CIS Benchmark Kerberos 4 workstreams remain In Progress (Samba, AD/DNS Integration, Management by API, and AI), and the rest are blocked or not started.
