Developers: Beware of Ad Libraries that Betray Your Users’ Location Privacy
An EFF investigation identified several advertising software development kits (SDKs) that publicly acknowledge collecting and sharing users’ location by default when embedded in apps granted location permissions. If developers don’t pay close attention to the location-sharing settings of their advertising tools, they could inadvertently expose users’ location to third parties.

Additional tip for users on Android: use services like AdGuard (application).
AdGuard acts like a local VPN and/or DNS filter, to intercept and block ongoing device requests. And yes, it CAN also decrypt HTTPS traffic, once you install the CA certificate.
Bare in mind to always read the T&C, privacy policy, just in case (not just for AdGuard, but any application you'd be dealing with).
