@gutenberg_org Ulysses doesn't deserve its reputation as overly difficult or pretentious or whatever. All you need is a companion source explaining the style of each chapter and its Homeric parallel, and it's one of the most fun (and funny) novels out there.
The first time I read it all the way through, I was around Stephen's age, and the second time, I was around Bloom's age. An unforgettable experience that changes what you think is possible with words.
