@iFixit have been repairing and upgrading all my older consoles, and I now have to replace an internal power supply in a newer game console.

@iFixit My favorite repair was when I sat on my wife's glasses and soldered them back together because all I had to hand was a soldering iron. I refuse to give up on my Kenwood TS-930s that needs a new power supply.

@iFixit The fancy Dyson vacuum which I had to completely disassemble just to replace the broken power trigger. A quick 3D printed piece was enough the make it good as new.

@iFixit I recently found my old Zune HD, but the battery won't keep a charge. Hoping to get a new battery kit and get it running again soon!

Unfortunately my "stuff I need to do first" list is pretty long 😅

@iFixit I don’t give up on “disposable “/“unfixable” household appliances and electronics. IFixit tools have been essential to me troubleshooting problems.

@iFixit am one of those GenX liberal arts losers who never took a compsci or coding class ever. i had to learn doing, breaking things and learning from mistakes. i have an HP laptop that wasn't just dying, it fell and the screen broke. i took it apart with my eyewear screwdrivers. miraculously, only the screen and battery were damaged. it’s my first true rescue, including my data. reattached cables, replaced the battery and now SSH into it. it’s my GIT bkup, but would love to replace the screen

@iFixit My recent repair win was a battery swap on my beloved @system76 Lemur Pro 10. The old one turned into a super spicy pillow and scared my friends when the chassis was already bent by multiple millimeters. Now it's a flat surface again and the new battery got me back to full capacity so it can run for many hours. 🥳

@iFixit I’ve got a steam deck that got some water damage and won’t turn on. Just need some time and to tools to crack it open and take a look.

@iFixit my laptop is missing a keycap and I will, eventually, fix it.

@iFixit I’m still using my iPhone 6s, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon! :)

@iFixit I was so proud when I managed to change the battery in my 2010 MacBook Pro.

Unfortunately, it has died once again and even though there’s only 3 screws left holding the old thing together, one of them is stuck. As in seriously stuck.
So I hope better tools can help me getting the battery out, so I can see if I can somehow get it started and start saving the pictures that at stuck on it.

@iFixit Maybe a little boring but still my go-to: the Framework Laptop 13 is amazing with it's outstanding repairability and upgradability!

@iFixit
Combining working parts from 3 broken laptops into a working one.

@iFixit My first laptop, a T4 MacBook Pro, replaced & upgraded the hard drive to a fusion drive. More space, more reliable, much faster. the trifecta of repairs!

@iFixit @Gargron Favourite repair? Probably removing some leaking capacitors off an Amiga 4000 main board, cleaning it up before there was damage, and replacing them.

@iFixit I want to repair my kids electronic toys

@iFixit I fixed my (then) girlfriend's Playstation when it wouldn't read discs anymore. All it took was an adjustment of the laser diode, and it was back working perfectly. Saved having to replace it as she wouldn't be without one.

@iFixit I would love to use this dope set to fix my older devices especially my beloved iPod. It's one of my favorite music players and a nostalgia express

@iFixit a Sony Xperia XA2, which does not boot up
