@iFixit i need to fix my smart home from time to time. Your Toolskits are very helpful with it!
@iFixit My favorite repair win was when the battery on my electric lawnmower died. Replacement batteries weren't available anymore, so I took it apart and discovered that it was just two standard 12-volt batteries wired together. I bought two new batteries, connected them to the interior wiring and reassembled the case. I now had a better battery than when the mower was new. It has worked great for the last several years and I should be able to keep it running for many more.
@iFixit My first win was changing the battery on my main phone, I'm planning to fix my Dji mini 3 pro 😅
@iFixit I have repaired my school's arcade cabinet, I got my PS4 in 2017 or 2018 and I have no plans to leave it dusted and unused. I'm still surprised the HDD is still kicking since 9 years but it's been showing its age.
I'm also planning on jailbreaking it as I have been consistently using it and want more functionality from it
@iFixit I recently brought an iPhone 4 back to life which has been a great alarm clock and music player
@iFixit My 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 repair win - bought a broken AntLion ModMic for around 1/7 of the original price. Fixed by redoing two cold solder joints.
𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 repair - my daughter's headphones. Yet I need to get an access to hot air solder.
And I 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 to give up on my Logitech VX Nano mouse, now long discontinued. To keep it alive I learnt how to solder, and slowly built whole soldering kit. Which now helps me with other repairs. Together with @iFixit repair guides 👍🏻
@iFixit My old childhood SNES needs a new capacitor. 👍🏼 So that‘s my next repair project.
@iFixit I remember fixing the drive of my GameCube at uni with the cutlery in my kitchen drawer.
@iFixit being able to still run old laptops with a bit of work and using a phone like Fairphone 5
@iFixit this is awesome! Planning on reviving my OG iPod. :)
@iFixit I'm not sure it's my favourite but definitely was one of the most difficult and time consuming: repairing a bl***y iMac from 2008.
HDD + GPU needed to be replaced. And to do that i'd to (almost) disassemble everything.
I even had to use one of your guides: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iMac+Intel+20-Inch+EMC+2133+and+2210+Video+Card+Replacement/1014
@iFixit Wow, where to start... I have fixed 3 or 4 I phones... Batteries, microphones and switches as well as a screen...
My last fix was an SSD upgrade for an intell (2015) iMac. Tool kits, parts and instructions are always good.
@iFixit upgrading my Framework laptop!
@iFixit
Favorite win: My previous employeer was about to recycle a super expensive Dell rackmount server. Saved it by replacing ONE bad capacitor. It warms my basement now.
Next thing I want to fix: I have a busted oscillosope that will help me keep persuing my hobby of repairing electronics.
@iFixit I'll never give up my old OnePlus Nord, barely alive after 5 years of dedicated service. So many memories associated with this phone from when I was still in highschool...

@iFixit
Need to add 12GiB RAM to Dell desktop.
@iFixit iFixit kits are purpose-built for phone internals, but the real blocker on vacation is the display adhesive and screen replacement itself. That's the part that kills phones fastest when done wrong—the adhesive pattern matters, and any kitchen tool will either let it separate again in weeks or damage the digitizer underneath. If you're just swapping parts that clip or screw, you're probably fine.
